Police are investigating the theft of a student's iPhone at Fairfield Ludlowe High School by another student. The incident, which happened last Thursday, was reported to police Friday.
According to the report, the victim was in hallway when a 17-year-old student reached into her backpack and took her cell phone. She followed him until he entered a bathroom, at which point she told a teacher's aide, who waiting outside the bathroom for the student to come out. When the suspect did, he was sent to the dean's office where he said he found the cell phone in the school's computer lab and thought it belonged to a friend.
The report indicated that two similar instances involving this student had occurred previously. Each time, he received a one-day suspension and made restitution. This time, the teen was given a five-day suspension, but the theft victim and her parents are requesting that he be arrested.
