A Fairfield man, upset by a loud party in his neighborhood early Sunday, faces multiple charges after an altercation with the host and threatening guests, police said.
Stephen Rose, 49, of Sturges Highway, was charged by Westport police with threatening, fourth-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.
Fairfield and Westport police were dispatched to the area of Sturges Highway and Dawn Drive on a report of a disturbance around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Officers were told that a man unhappy about a party at a neighboring residence got into a physical dispute with the homeowner, according to the report. That person -- Rose -- also threatened other guests as they were leaving, the report said.
Rose was released after posting a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear July 16 in Norwalk Superior Court.
