Miles Holcomb, 73, of Martinka Drive in Shelton, apparently thought another motorist had parked too close to his 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Thursday, but his reaction earned him a ticket from police.

A woman reported to police that a man, later identified as Holcomb, confronted her in the Sherman Green parking lot, and began yelling and using profanity because he thought she had parked too close to his vehicle in the lot.

She provided police with Holcomb's license registration plate and when police contacted him, he agreed to come to headquarters to discuss the incident.

Police said Holcomb related the incident as the woman had described it, and he was issued an infraction for creating a public disturbance.
