Stephen F. Boccarosa, 43, of Mill Plain Road, is facing charges after police said he smashed the windshield of another man's car with a baseball bat.
Boccarosa was charged Thursday morning with second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of breach of peace and one count of threatening.
The incident took place Monday when a man had gone to Boccarosa's home to pick up a member of Boccarosa's family, police said. When Boccarosa discovered this, the report said, he called the other man and told him to return to the house. The man did, and that is when Boccarosa smashed his windshield with a baseball bat, according to the report.
The victim left and reported the incident to police Tuesday.
Boccarosa was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
