Shawn Garrity, 49, of Oyster Road, threw himself through a window at the Southport Racquet Club early Monday morning after being asked to leave the Gray Goose, 246 Old Post Road, in the Southport section of town, police said.
According to the report, Garrity was verbally arguing with staff and other patrons at the bar. Moments after he left, they said he threw himself through the window of the racquet club next door. When police arrived, he was bleeding heavily from his foot and back.
Garrity was charged with criminal mischief and breach of peace and taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
He was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on July 30. Damage to the window was estimated at $2,000.
