James Montz, 35, of Ocean Avenue, West Haven, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday and charged with using a Fairfield relative's credit card to buy Home Depot gift cards 162 times in one month last year.

Montz was charged with third-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card and receiving goods and services obtained illegally.

Between last Dec. 10 and 31, Montz used the relative's Home Depot credit card to buy gift cards -- with total value of $9,145 -- from the retailer's Orange store, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
