A 48-year-old man was charged with sixth-degree larceny Thursday after police said he stole $117 worth of meat from Super Stop & Shop, 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff.
Marco Jorge, of Bedford Street in Stamford, was seen on surveillance cameras putting packages of meat into his backpack, police said. He then went to the cash register where he paid for some small items that were in his shopping cart, but not the beef.
He was released on a written promise to appear Aug. 27 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
