Two shoplifting arrests were made last Tuesday at Kohl’s department store, 290 Tunxis Hill Road.

In the first incident, Hicham Aitelmaati, 34, of Alice Street in Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after he allegedly took a $59 watch and tried to leave without paying, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear Sept. 14 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.

In another incident, Yesenia Pagan, 42, of Main Street in Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny for allegedly concealing $449 worth of merchandise in her purse, and then trying to leave without paying, police said.

Pagan was also charged with criminal trespass because she had been warned after a previous shoplifting arrest to stay out of the store, according to the report. She was released on a promise to appear Sept. 15 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
