Cops: Stranger threatens to kill woman

Lucas Calloway, 19, of Reef Road, was charged with breach of peace after he allegedly knocked on the door of a Kings Highway East home Monday and threatened to kill the woman who answered.

The woman -- who said she did not know Calloway -- screamed, slammed the door and called police.

Calloway, who did not show any weapons, ran off. When officers later found him on Kings Highway near Grasmere Avenue, they said he had no weapons in his possession. He denied telling the woman that he planned to kill her.

Calloway was released on a promise to appear March 15 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
