A 16-year-old Trefoil Court resident was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct Monday night after a fight with a family member.
The dispute erupted, according to the police report, after the teen's Xbox controller was taken away from him because he refused to go to school.
The teen, whose name was not disclosed because of his age, also knocked a pan of hot oil off the stove, starting a small fire, that was quickly extinguished. He also pushed over a chair and broke a radio, police said.
The teen is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on March 10.
