A 29-year-old woman is in custody after police allege she tried to buy oxycodone from an undercover office, with her toddler in tow.
Irisel Dejesus, of Wakelee Avenue in Ansonia, had made arrangements to meet the undercover officer, posing as a drug dealer, in a Black Rock Turnpike parking lot Tuesday afternoon, according to police. When the officer arrived, Dejesus had $220 in a baseball cap for the 10 oxycodone pills she planned to buy, police said.
She was accompanied by her 3-year-old son, police said.
Dejesus was charged with criminal attempt to possess narcotics and risk of injury to a minor. Dejesus’ son was turned over to her mother’s custody, and the state Department of Children and Families was notified.
Bond was set at $1,000 and she is scheduled to appear Sept. 8 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
