A 35-year-old Bridgeport woman was taken into custody last week after she allegedly switched the tags on two items at Whole Foods in order to pay a cheaper price.

Omega Williams, of South Avenue in Bridgeport, was charged Aug. 6 with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to to have appeared Thursday at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.

According to the report, Williams switched price tags and paid $7.95 for a high-priced probiotic and a liver cleanse. The actual cost should have been $99.98, police said.
