Tiffany Bertanza, 30, of Samp Mortar Drive, was charged with sixth-degree larceny Sunday after she allegedly switched the price stickers on beauty products at Super Stop & Shop, 760 Villa Ave.
Bertanza took price stickers from cheaper items and put them on more expensive items she planned to purchase, police said. According to the report, she paid $13.80 for $29 worth of merchandise and then started to leave the store when she was detained.
She was released on a promise to appear March 19 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
