A Trumbull woman was charged last Wednesday evening after she allegedly took almost $1,000 worth of fish and meat from the Whole Foods Market, 350 Grasmere Ave.
Dawn Fitts, 50, of Unity Road, was charged with fifth-degree larceny.
According to the report, she loaded up a shopping cart with $952 worth of expensive fish and meat, and then walked out of the store without paying for the items. She was stopped in the parking lot.
Fitts was initially held on a $500 bond, but that was later reduced to a promise to appear by the bail commissioner. She is scheduled to appear Jan. 14 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
