A 15-year-old Fairfield Warde High School student was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Thursday morning at the Melville Avenue school.

Police were called to the school after one of the deans found a partially burnt marijuana cigarette in the teen's jacket pocket, police said, and a pill bottle with marijuana and a grinder in his backpack.

The teen was released to his mother's custody and is scheduled to appear Dec. 3 in juvenile court.
