Cops bust teens' beer blast at Sherman School

A 15-year-old girl was sent to Norwalk Hospital for intoxication and seven other teens turned over to their parents' custody after they were found drinking on Sherman School property Friday night, police said.

Police received a report about a group of juveniles drinking at the school, and when officers arrived, two of the boys tried to run away, but were quickly detained.

Six cans of Coors Light beer were taken as evidence, police said. The teenagers -- six boys and two girls -- were all 15 years old, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
