Police have released a surveillance video of three suspects in a theft reported by a shopper at Super Stop & Shop on Villa Avenue last Friday, when the victim reported she was distracted by one of the trio while another stole her wallet from her shopping cart.

The shopper told police she was approached by a woman who asked if she knew where the grape juice was located. While the shopper stepped away from her shopping cart to direct the woman, her purse remained in the cart.

At the same time, she told police she believes the man and woman accompanying the first woman stole her wallet, which held $50 in cash, several credit cards, her Social Security card, Medicare insurance card, Tricare insurance card, her Florida driver's license and a piece of paper with her grandchildren's addresses.

The credit cards were cancelled and Social Security notified about the theft.

Anyone who might be able to identify the suspects in the video is asked to contact police Sgt. Tony Granata at agranata@town.fairfield.ct.us or 203-254-4840. Anonymous "Text a Tips" can be sent to: 274637.
