Cops look for suspect passing fake $100 bills

Police are looking for a man they said purchased two Green Dot cards using 11 forged $100 bills on April 30 at the CVS store, 1968 Black Rock Turnpike.

The counterfeit bills were discovered several days later by a bank after CVS made its deposit.

The serial numbers used on the fake bills were: HB55291844C, HB45618951C, HA85147843B, GA36407673A, HB55615388C, HB45428571C, HB85661959B, HB55657998C and HB45211843C.

Police ask that anyone who experienced a similar incident or has information about the suspect to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840. Anonymous tips can be texted to 274637, and refer to FPD 14-14109.
