Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at Whole Foods, 350 Grasmere Ave., last week.
According to the June 25 report, a woman was seen putting two bundles of kale, worth $3.50 each, a package of berries and a pound of fruit into a hand basket. She then went into another aisle and put all but one bundle of kale in her purse.
She paid for the one bundle and was confronted by a store employee when she attempted to leave. The report stated she refused to let the employee check her purse, and they grabbed the kale that she had paid for before she got into a car.
Store employees were able to get the license plate number and police are attempting to contact the owner
