FAIRFIELD — Hours after police distributed surveillance video of a man walking into Pepe’s Pizzeria in February, stealing $260 in cash and jewelry from an employee’s purse, and then fleeing, police received several phone calls identifying the suspect as 43-year-old Craig Reynolds, of South Avenue in Bridgeport.
Police compared Reynolds’ state Department of Corrections photo to the images in surveillance video and applied for an arrest warrant. He was arrested and arraigned last Friday at state Superior Court in Bridgeport, where he was appeared on other charges, and charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
Reynolds previously has been arrested 17 times on various charges including burglary, violation of probation, larceny and criminal trespass, police said.
