The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County recently moved its offices into a much larger venue in Norwalk, having outgrown its former downtown space in the Fairfield Theatre Co. building for the past four years.
The nonprofit's headquarters with five employees is now housed in a nearly 1,000-square-foot space in Lockwood-Mathews Mansion's Gate Lodge in Mathews Park.
Its former space is 192 square feet.
"A home in one of Norwalk's cultural hubs is a perfect place for our new office," Ryan Odinak, the alliance's executive director, said in a statement.
Over the past 18 months, the organization has grown to more than 260 arts
and culture organizations, artists and creative business members.
State Sen. Bob Duff, D-25, and Cultural Alliance Board President Elisabeth Morton will officially open the new office location, 301 West Ave., with a ribbon-cutting event at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, March 28.
