DOMINICK D. FAVATA

Dominick Daniel Favata died March 7, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. He was 68.

Born April 7, 1941, in Marlboro, N.Y., he was a son of the late Alfonso and Alice (Lupo) Favata.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eileen; his brother, Alfred Favata of Fairfield; his children, David Favata, Suzanne Chaikowsky, Jude Hanley and Kara Favata; seven grandchildren; and his nieces, Elizabeth Waiksnis of Fairfield, Julie Golicz of Madison, Dr. Charis Keane of Fairfield and Jonah Keane of Shelburn Falls, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Kerr.

Favata attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., graduated with an economics degree and then went to Fairleigh Dickenson University, where he obtained a master's degree in finance. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, N.J., and was an executive for Ingersoll Rand and Rowe International. His finance career took him all over the country and the world. He retired to Hilton Head Island, S.C.
