Democrat Elaine Gaffney has resigned from the Board of Finance. Gaffney, who won a seat on the panel in last November's election, submitted her letter of resignation to town Fiscal Officer Paul Hiller, the board's clerk, July 17.
She said the because of unexpected health issues, she is currently living in Wallingford.
"I shall sincerely miss everyone on the board," Gaffney said.
Her replacement will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen following a recommendation from the Democratic Town Committee.
