Eggs-citement was the order of the day Sunday, undiminished despite a day's delay.

Hundreds turned out at the town's new Recreation Center early Sunday afternoon for the annual Easter egg hunt.

The annual holiday treat, originally planned Saturday on an athletic field at the Old Dam Road recplex, was forced inside a day later after snow left the field damp and muddy.

As a result, a long line formed outside the rec building as youngters waited to gain entry where candy and chocolate eggs were being dispensed.

On hand to greet the kids -- and pose for photos -- were two Easter bunnies and a chicken for lasting portraits of holiday fun.
