The downtown dining scene continues to expand its menu.
Taberna, a popular Spanish tapas restaurant on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, has opened a second location at the Brick Walk, 1229 Post Road, complete with an outdoor dining patio.
Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant plans to have a grand opening on Sept. 13. The menu includes seafood, such as grilled crab cakes and lobster and wild mushroom ravioli.
Taking over the long-vacant site formerly inhabited by Las Vetas coffee house at the corner of Post Road and Sanford Street is b.good, a small chain whose slogan is, “real.food.fast.” Expected to open this month, the restaurant has 20 locations, but this is just the second in Connecticut.
The b.good menu features kale and grain bowls, seasonal salads, burgers and sandwiches, and smoothies and shakes.
Farther east on the Post Road, Tazza Osteria and Bar, 92 Post Road, recently received permission from the Town Plan and Zoning Commission to enclose its patio and vestibule.
Once the home of the Apizza Center, Tazza offers brick oven pizza, small plates, and pasta.
