EDWARD A. DUCSAY

Edward A. Ducsay of West Haven, formerly of Fairfield, died March 3, 2010, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Born in Bridgeport, he had been a life-long Fairfield resident prior to moving to West Haven four years ago. A graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Ducsay received a bachelor's degree from Villanova University. He had a real love for sports and enjoyed playing computer games.

Survivors include his companion, Nancy Denman of West Haven and her children, Christopher of New York and Laura of New London; his mother, Roseann Romanchick Cuff and her husband, Steven of Fairfield; his father, Steven M. Ducsay and his wife, Marilyn of Shelton; his two children, Julia and Luke Ducsay of Germantown, Wisc.; a brother, Steven M. Ducsay of Fairfield; his paternal grandmother, Helen Ducsay of Shelton; three aunts, Marie Lee and her husband, Bill of Fairfield, Denise Fuller and her husband, Bob of Fairfield, and Diane Fitzpatrick and her husband, Jay of Shelton; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Amanda Ducsay; a sister-in-law, Sonya Bogdanovicz-Ducsay; and a cousin, Vincent Milano.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. David Spollett, took place March 8 in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield; interment followed in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours took place March7 in the funeral home.
