Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of the best-selling "Eat, Pray, Love," will discuss her new novel, "The Signature of All Things," as part of radio station WSHU-FM's "Join the Conversation" series on Friday, Oct. 18.
Spanning the 18th and 19th centuries, "The Signature of All Things," is about an independent young woman who quickly comes into her own within the world of plants and science. She falls for a mysterious painter of orchids and becomes a witness to history, as well as a maker of history.
Admission is $35 and reservations can be made at www.wshu.org. Tickets include one copy of the hardcover book, which can be signed by the author. Proceeds help support WSHU-FM public radio. Additional books can also be purchased at the event.
