Elizabeth "Bette" M. McLean, 89, of Albuquerque, N.M., and a former Fairfield resident, died Oct. 14, 2010.

Born in Shelton on June 5, 1921, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Markovics. She graduated from Shelton High School and later from Booth and Bayliss Business School in Bridgeport. She was a resident of the Southport section of Fairfield for 35 years before moving to Albuquerque in 1986.

Bette was employed for 18 years at Citytrust in Bridgeport before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Sagebrush Community Church.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harry D. McLean; children, Sharon M. Cooper and husband, David, Barbara M. Rehnberg and husband, Luke, Alan Jon "AJ" McLean and wife, Cindy, Elaine M. Logan and husband, Vernon, Brian D. McLean and wife, Melissa, all of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Eric, Jonathan, Dean, Alan Jon Jr., Ryan, and Kathryn; two great-grandchildren, Annalisa and Matthew; and sister-in-law, Janice M. Curtiss of Shelton.
