Fairfield Country Day School has opened a newly renovated wing housing middle-school classrooms and science rooms at its Bronson Road campus.

The renovated space includes new fourth- and fifth-grade classrooms and science labs on the first floor. The second floor houses new sixth grade classrooms and upper-school science rooms, officials at the private boys school said in a news release.

The science classrooms are state of the art, and will allow students more hands-on lab time, according to the release. The renovated wing includes a rooftop garden with vegetation that will serve as an outdoor classroom.

Fairfield Country Day has students in kindergarten through ninth grade. The new wing opened Sept. 24, the school said.
