The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield has launched its annual citrus-fruit sale and is accepting orders for grapefruits, oranges and tangerines. All proceeds from the sales benefit Kiwanis community-service projects, the club said. Last year, the club donated more than $32,000, including $15,000 in scholarship to local high school students, the Kiwanis said in a news release.

The club is offering both small and large cases of red grapefruit, Valencia oranges and honey tangerines. Prices per case and approximate number of pieces are:

Grapefruit: Small (18 pieces), $22; large (36 pieces), $35;

Valencia oranges: Small (40), $22; Large (80), $35;

Honey tangerines: Small (40), $22; large (80), $35.

Orders will be accepted through Feb. 27, the club said. Fruit will be available for pickup on Friday, March 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at Fairfield Fire Department Headquarters, 140 Reef Road
