Teen volunteers are needed to help register children for online summer reading gams, hand out prizes, show movies and help at events at both branches of the Fairfield Public Library from June 18 through Aug. 7.

Volunteers work Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in two-hour shifts. Teens can volunteer a minimum of two hours per week for a few weeks or for the whole summer. The volunteer opportunity is open to students entering the eighth grade this fall and older.

Interested teens must register and attend a mandatory one-hour training session. Training will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and at 11 a.m. June 23 at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, and at 3 p.m. June 13 at the main library, 1080 Old Post Road.
