Help in using e-readers is planned at the Fairfield Public Library.
For those who may get an e-reader as a holiday gift, or others who need more guidance on how to download books and other online reading materials, the library will offer three free workshops right after Christmas.
The drop-in sessions will help people learn how to download free library e-books and audio-books to Kindles, iPads or Nooks.
The sessions are planned for Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m.; Thursday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. All of the workshops will be in the Rotary Room of the main library, corner of Old Post and Post roads.
A Fairfield Public Library card is required to attend.
Step-by-step instructions on downloading materials to e-readers also are available on the library's website, www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org
More informational sessions about e-readers will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 2, Jan. 23 and Feb. 20 in the main library.
