The Math and Science Enrichment Club of Fairfield Ludlowe High School has presented a $2,000 check to Operation Hope. The donation was presented by club advisor Anurag Kalra to Carla Miklos, executive director of the Operation Hope, soup kitchen and shelter.
Kalra volunteers at the community Math and Science Enrichment Club on Saturday afternoons, where he coaches students in grades 6-8 for national level, math and science contests that also raise funds for charities. The Math and Science Enrichment Club started with 11 students in 2006 and currently counts over 100 students as its members.
The mission of the Math and Science Enrichment Club is to serve the community by increasing awareness and preparedness of Fairfield County students for nationally acclaimed math and science contests. The Fairfield-based club also helps local charities via donations generated through these activities.
