A 15-year-old female student at Fairfield Ludlowe High School was issued a juvenile summons Monday for possession of marijuana.

The high school's dean notified the school resource officer that the student was in possession of two marijuana cigarettes, one of them partially smoked, according to the police report. The joints were discovered when a teacher reported an odor of burning marijuana near a girls lavatory.

The teen and another student were seen entering and leaving the restroom, police said. The second girl was not charged.

According to the police report, the teen voluntarily handed over the marijuana.
