FAIRFIELD — Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s Junior Achievement Club has won the top spots in the regional Junior Achievement Business Challenge for the third year in a row.
Two Ludlowe teams entered the recent Junior Achievement competition, which attracted entrants from 17 communities in the southwestern region of the state at Sacred Heart University. Their coach is Tom Reindel, a business teacher at FLHS.
The two Ludlowe teams captured first and second place in the event, which challenged teams, using a computerized simulation of a manufacturing firm, “to analyze the model, strategize and make decisions on pricing, marketing, research and development and capital investment.” according to a press release from the school.
Each member of the first-place team won a $1,000 scholarship, and $500 scholarships went to each member of the second-place team.
