Fairfield College Preparatory School's Squires Club collected hundreds of grocery bags of food and delivered it to a Bridgeport nonprofit that plans to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 2,000 families, the school said.

The food was collected at the school, and Squires Club members loaded the donations into van Nov. 21 for delivery to Action for Bridgeport Community Development.

The Squires Club is a junior affiliate of the Knights of Columbus.
