The Fairfield Senior Center is sponsoring several day trips this summer and fall.

On Tuesday, July 29, the trip is to Harbor Yard to see the Bridgeport Bluefish play the Long Island Ducks. Game time is 7 p.m. The cost is $ 4.50 for a box seat at the door, a "2 for 1" special. Buses leave the senior center no later than 6 p.m. Refreshments are extra.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, the senior center is taking a trip to Yankee Stadium. The New York Yankees will play the Cleveland Indians. Children and grandchildren are welcome on the trip. The cost is $87 with food cost extra. Call 203-256-3166 for the time of the game and more trip details.

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, the senior trip is to Plantsville to hear "The Company Men" vocal group. Lunch will be served at the Aqua Turf restaurant. The cost is $90 for the performance, lunch and transportation.

Seniors will enjoy a Litchfield County day on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The trip will visit the Tiffany Glass Factory and get a tour of the Tiffany home. The trip includes lunch at Infinity Bistro, located in Infinity Music Hall. The cost is $86.

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam is the trip destination. The cost is $59 for the show ticket, or $83 for the show and lunch at the Gelston House restaurant next door. The show is a 2 p.m. matinee.

A mystery trip will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The coach will stop in Old Saybrook and pick up "Sherlock Holmes," who will join the group for the rest of the day. Sherlock will present a mystery to be solved. The group will begin to collect clues on a backstage tour of the Goodspeed Opera House, have lunch at the Griswold Inn with Sherlock, and shop in Old Saybrook. If 40 people register in advance, the cost, including lunch, will be $78.

The "Haunted Connecticut Tour" takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 21. There will be a stop at a haunted graveyard and lunch at a haunted hotel, the Curtis House Inn. The tour will be conducted by tour guide and ghost hunter Donna Kent. On the way home, Kent will review everyone's digital photos for evidence of something that "wasn't really there." The trip cost is $68.

All of the trips (except to the Bluefish and "Fiddler on the Roof") are in deluxe motor coaches with air conditioning, on-board rest rooms, and a tour guide, and leave from the Fairfield Senior Center, 100 Mona Terrace. Participants do not have to be a member of the senior center to go on the trips.

Participants should register as far ahead as they can, six to eight weeks advance notice, if possible.

For more information, or to register, call 203-256-3166 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
