Fairfield forecast: A Thanksgiving Day to be thankful for

Today's forecast is something to give thanks for, according to the National Weather Service.
Skies this Thanksgiving Day across southwestern Connecticut will be clear, as temperatures rise to a daytime high in the mid-50s, with a northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.
Tomorrow, as the holiday shopping shifts into high gear, will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-50s. There is a chance of showers late tomorrow night as clouds move in and the temperature dips to a low in the upper-30s. The odds of precipitation are about 30 percent, the NWS says.
On Saturday, there is a slight chance of showers before 8 a.m. Otherwise, the rest of the day is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low around temperature about 30 degrees.
Sunday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Saturday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-30s.
The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the mid-40s.
