It won't be as warm today in southwestern Connecticut as yesterday when, according to the National Weather Service, temperatures hit a balmy 55 degrees. But it will still be sunny, and more snow-melting weather is on the way.
Today's daytime high temperature is expected to be just 30 degrees, with a blustery north wind adding to the chill. The wind will be clocked between 15 and 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Clouds will move across the region tonight, and temperatures will fall to a low of around 20. There will be a calmer northwest wind between 7 and 11 mph.
Tomorrow things get warmer under sunny skies, according to the NWS, with a high temperature of about 36 degrees. Nighttime should be warmer than has been the norm, with a low in the mid-30s.
Thursday promises to be partly sunny, with a high near 48. There will be a slight west wind around 9 mph.
And Friday will be partly sunny, with a high of about 51 degrees, the weather service says.
