With last night's light precipitation cleared from southwestern Connecticut's skies, the rest of the day promises to sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature will rise to the mid-40s, with a north wind around 8 mph.

Tonight, however, will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature falling to the upper-20s.

The Washington's Birthday holiday tomorrow will also be sunny, with a high rising again to the mid-40s. Nighttime will be clear with a low temperature in the upper-20s, the NWS says.

On Tuesday, there is a slight chance of showers after 4 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. There remains a chance of showers Tuesday night, with a low temperature in the upper-30s.

Wednesday, the weather service predicts, will be partly sunny with a temperature reaching about 50 degrees.
