The stretch of sunny, warm weather that southwestern Connecticut has enjoyed the last few days will continue today -- lasting just until the weekend ends.
The National Weather Service says that under bright skies the daytime high temperature today will rise to the upper-70s, with a north wind 6 to 8 mph, later becoming east.
Tonight should be mostly clear, with the temperature dipping to a low of about 50 degrees. There will be a south wind between 4 and 7 mph.
Tomorrow will also be sunny, with the temperature rising to the upper-70s. By tomorrow night, however, there is a slight chance of showers after 10 p.m. as some clouds move in and the temperature registers in the mid-50s.
On Monday, there is a chance of showers, rated about 40 percent by the NWS. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 66 degrees. There remains a chance of showers Monday night, with an overnight low temperature in the mid-50s.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is for cloudy skies, a chance of showers and temperatures about 70 degrees.
