For the first time in what seems like weeks, several sunny days in a row are in store for southwestern Connecticut.

The National Weather Service says the span of bright and warm days should last at least through Friday.

Under clear skies today, the high temperature will reach the mid-70s, the NWS says, with a north wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low temperature around 59. There will be a southeast wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Sunny skies will also prevail tomorrow, with a high near 71 degrees. Tomorrow night will be cloudy, with a low around 61.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78 and a south wind between 6 and 10 mph. By Friday night, however, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

There's a chance of more rain on Saturday, the weather service predicts, but Sunday is expected to be another sunny day.
