Fairfield forecast, Clearing, colder

Today's forecast predicts the clouds and drizzle of yesterday will be swept from southwestern Connecticut's skies later this morning, and sunny -- but colder -- conditions will prevail over the next few days.
The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature today will rise to about 54 degrees, with a breeze from the west of up to about 14 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 35 degrees.
Tomorrow will also be sunny, with a high temperature near 50 degrees. Tomorrow night should be mostly clear, with a low around 35 degrees, the NWS says.
Mostly sunny skies are in store for the region Thursday as well, with a daytime high near 51. Nighttime will also be mostly clear, with a low around 37.
On Saturday, the weather service predicts, skies will be sunny, but the daytime high temperature will be only in the mid-40s.
