Fairfield forecast: End to unsettled conditions in sight

Another day of unsettled weather is in the offing today as southwestern Connecticut returns to its post-Labor Day routine, according to the National Weather Service.
Like much of the holiday weekend, there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation today as the temperature rises to a daytime high in the low-80s with high humidity a west wind 5 to 8 mph.
Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the upper-50s and northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
Tomorrow should be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Nighttime will be clear, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.
On Thursday, there is a slight chance of showers after 10 a.m. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. Night skies will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-50s.
Friday will be sunny and the daytime high will be in the mid-70s. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
