Fairfield forecast: Light snow possible tonight, later in week

Light snow is again in the overnight forecast for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
Cloud cover will increase during the day, as the high temperature rises to the low-30s. There will be a west wind 8 to 17 mph.
Tonight, light snow is possible, mainly after 8 p.m., the NWS says. Skies will be cloudy, with a low temperature about 20 degrees and a west wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Tomorrow, there is also a chance of light snow in the morning, primarily before 8 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the low-30s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Nighttime tomorrow also brings possible light snow, mainly after midnight. The temperature will dip to a low in the low-20s; chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
The possibility of light snow remains in the forecast for Wednesday, mainly before 9 a.m. The daytime high temperature will be in the mid-30s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 20 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-30s. Nighttime brings a 30 percent chance of snow, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is cloudy, a mix of snow and rain possible and temperatures in the 30s.
