Fairfield forecast: Mild start to work week

Skies across southwestern Connecticut today should be clear mostly sunny, boosting temperatures to a high in the 40s.
The National Weather Service says there also will be a north wind 5 to 8 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
Tomorrow, the NWS says there is a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. Otherwise, the day will be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-40s and an east wind 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Rain is likely tomorrow night, probably after 9 p.m. as temperatures dip to the mid-30s. It will also be breezy, with an east wind 11 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
On Wednesday, more rain is in the forecast, as temperatures rise to the upper-40s. Chance of daytime precipitation is 90 percent. Nighttime could see more precipitation, with temperatures in the mid-30s. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
More showers are possible Thursday with temperatures in the mid-40 under cloudy skies. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-30s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is cloudy and temperatures in the 40s.
