It's like snowstorm after snowstorm that socked the region last winter. Or the day after day dampened by showers earlier this spring.

Only this time, it's a cycle of sunny and warm weather that has engulfed southwestern Connecticut.

The National Weather Service says that today -- and the outlook for the rest of the week -- is a mix of clear skies and temperatures rising to the mid-60-degree range, maybe even the low-70s.

Today will also have slightly breezy conditions with a north wind between 14 and 17 mph. Tonight, the temperature is expected to fall to a low of about 48 degrees.

And tomorrow, Thursday and Friday all are predicted by the weather service to be largely the same: Sunny, high temperatures in the mid-60s, overnight lows in the upper-40s, and light breezes.
