Fairfield forecast: Rain clearing from area, not clouds

Even though overnight rain should clear from southwestern Connecticut later this morning, clouds are expected to prevail for most of the day, according to the National Weather Service.
The daytime high temperature will rise to about 80 degrees, with a north wind 6 to 9 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low temperature around 60 degrees.
Tomorrow is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
On Monday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Otherwise, the day should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. There remains a chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight as the temperature dips to the low-60s, the NWS says.
Tuesday should be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-60s.
The outlook for Wednesday, the weather service says, is for mostly sunny skies and a high temperature about 80 degrees.
