Cloudy, cooler conditions today set the stage for rain late tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut will be about 67 degrees, with an east wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Rain is expected to start falling after 10 p.m. as the temperature falls into the upper-50s.

Tomorrow should see more rain, the NWS says, mainly before 1 p.m. The high temperature will be about 70 degrees. Showers are also possible overnight into Friday and the low temperature will be about 63 degrees.

Rain is also forecast for Friday under cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper-60s. There will be more rain Friday night, mostly before midnight. The temperature is expected to fall into the low-50s.

A break in the rainy cycle is expected Saturday, as the weather service predicts partly sunny skies, with a high near 64 degrees.
