Fairfield forecast: Rain tapers off, temp ramps up

Showers falling across southwestern Connecticut early today should end later this morning, and skies are expected to clear as temperatures rise to the upper-60s.
The National Weather Service says that besides sunny skies for ost of today there should be a west wind between 5 and 10 mph.
Tonight, the NWS says to expect isolated showers, and possibly thunderstorms, before 10 p.m. under partly cloudy skies. The low temperature is expected to be in the upper-40s.
Tomorrow should be sunny with temperatures rising to a high in the mid-60s and a northwest wind between 6 and 14 mph. Tomorrow night should be mostly clear, with the temperature falling to a low about 40 degrees.
Thursday should also be mostly sunny, but not as warm as the temperature rises to the mid-50s. Nighttime is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-40s.
The outlook for Friday is for possible showers after noon, the weather service predicts, with temperatures in the low-50s.
